Leg#1-France-2024

We started in Antibe our temporary home harbor in July 2024

The route

Day 1
Departing from the initial home base in Antibes, France, sailing to La Rague for provisioning and loading the boat with all our long-range sailing equipment.
Day 2
Bringing in our fowl weather gear from the US where we sailed down the Pacific, along the big sure and around point conception from San Francisco to San Clemente, south of Los Angeles. Also food for the coming week and most importantly water.
Day 4
We departed at around 7 am. Sailed west towards the Hyeres Islands. We passed St Tropez and arrived Le Lavandu around 2 pm in the afternoon.

Milage, time, water, and gas

40 NM

6 Hrs

4-6 kts of wind

Diesel tank full  (200 ltr)

Water tanks full (300 ltr)

Unfortunately, we had a tough timeline as we needed to be in Gibraltar in August.

Sailing is typically not done with a timeline in mind. But today you have modern equipment, a good engine, and a big tank. Well, ‘big’ is relative and you must learn how the needle is tricking you and why. :)We will talk about that later.
